Intimate Sicilian Wedding Weekend With An Explosion Of Florals

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Blush pinks, dusty rose, magenta, creams and ivory, dusty blue, and sage green.[/field]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]

An explosion of florals with lots of romantic pinks, creams, and greenery – very summery, whimsical. The venue has so many beautiful textures- tile, masonry, greenery in the courtyards and golden Sicilian wheat fields surrounding the winery. The ceremony was indoors with candles- romantic and moody, while the dinner was outdoors- fresh and colorful.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]

Claudia & Chris are high school sweethearts who have been in love for over 8 years (and attended their senior prom together!) In May 2021 – Chris proposed with the most beautiful and massive bouquet of flowers in their home. They wanted something intimate. When he walked through the door with his arms full of flowers, Claudia just burst into tears. He then had their very best friends fly in from all over the country to join them for dinner the next night. “It was the most amazing weekend!”

Claudia’s Galia Lahav wedding gown was a beautifully beaded, simple silhouette. The dress fit her like a glove and was the perfect mix of elegant detail and minimal design.

Gourmet Italian dishes were served from the Feudi del Pisciotto restaurant: The Palmento di Feudi.

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]The ceremony was complete with acrylic chairs, epic floral arrangements, and stately candelabras that created an intimate and luxurious atmosphere. Claudia had a modest bouquet that still made a big impact, with soft tones and a whimsical organic design, wrapped with an elegant green patterned ribbon. For the reception, additional colors were brought into the centerpieces of their long dinner table, adding a pop of magenta as an ode to the bougainvillea that adorned the venue’s exterior. From an ethereal ceremony to a pattern-filled reception, the little details throughout Chris & Claudia’s day made the experience seamless. Each area was thoughtfully designed with an overarching theme and the corresponding events in mind.[/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

Claudia and Chris cut a traditional style wedding cake with cherries on top. The vintage-inspired cake design was the perfect compliment to the architecture and ambiance of Feudi del Pisciotto.

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Chris and I met in high school! We have been able to grow together and learn from each other over the past decade. Our beautiful friend, Savannah, married us and sharing our personal vows during the ceremony was so intimate. Although we were half way around the world from our home, I like to think of our wedding as very “mom and pop” with all of our best friends and family being a part of our weekend! We ate cannolis, drank wine and danced the night away. Our wedding was truly perfect!![/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

Our wedding weekend was beautiful and intimate down to the last detail. We had roughly 30 guests. We chose Sicily because Chris’s paternal grandparents are both from the Italian island. His grandpa is turning 100 this year! His grandparents now live in FL and, unfortunately, weren’t able to make the journey to Sicily, but sharing the photos and memories have been so incredibly special. Our photographer Zach Barron is one of our very closest friends, and it made the weekend that much more memorable and intimate. We will cherish his photography for our lifetimes.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The invitations featured a custom painted landscape serving as the interior of the handmade envelopes, a watercolor pattern with their two pups, a custom monogram, and luxurious handmade papers and printing. The passport save the dates included a custom designed leather bound and foil stamped cover, and boarding passes with each guest’s name in hand-done calligraphy. They provided a glimpse into the elegant but whimsical wedding weekend that awaited guests in Sicily.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]

The full wedding weekend consisted of an al fresco welcome party complete with live music by Sicilian music group Quartet Folk, an intimate candlelit ceremony, a reception dinner under the stars (and lots of fairy lights!), and a next-day pool party – all hosted at the gorgeous winery in Niscemi, Sicily: Feudi del Pisciotto. The full complex is able to be rented for weddings.
