[field title=”Proposal Story”]

It all started on a warm summer day in June 2014. Zue, a sweet 21-year-old at the time, was already sitting at her desk, eagerly awaiting the start of the internship program at Citi. Suddenly, a tall, handsome German guy called Nico came into the room and sat down right next to her. Zue couldn’t believe how lucky she was and wanted to say “hi” to him, but before she could even open her mouth, he took out a large 1.5L bottle of Diet Coke and put it right in front of her. “Dude, are you okay?” she asked him. Nico was confused – “Why would such a cute girl ask if I’m okay?” he thought, and politely responded with a “Yes, I’m great, I just don’t like water!” Zue clearly knew how to break the ice, and from that day, both of them became good friends, and the chemistry was visible to everyone around them. One year later, in the fall of 2015, the inevitable happened – Zue and Nico fell madly in love with each other. With a 2-year COVID delay, Nico finally popped the question in June 2021, 7 years after they first met, and now both can’t wait to celebrate their love for each other with their loved ones!

The wedding gown was designed by Carolina Herrera. Wanted a dress that was timeless, long train and suited a day ceremony. The second dress is custom-made by an up-and-coming Malaysian designer called Brian Khoo. I always wanted a dress that glittered with a bodice, and he created the look for me!

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]

The beautiful couple danced their first dance as a married couple to the song “No Ordinary” by the Labyrinth, as they felt that their love was compared to no other! They went for dance lessons with Captiv8 dance to choreograph a routine for them. It was a very fun pre-wedding activity. The Father/daughter dance was You’ll Be in My Heart by Phil Collins. This song from the Disney show, Tarzan which Zue watched growing up, gave a very sweet sentimental feeling to this moment.

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]

For this fall wedding, a big and beautiful transparent tent was constructed by Tentstyle, and guests were romantically gathered under fairy lights, which made the scenery completely magical! Loud and clear, they made the room feel like a fairytale, and once the party started, they switched the mood to classy nightclub energy! When you plan a wedding, each creative proposal you make is inspired by the bride’s and the groom’s personalities and dynamics. WhileThe Event Company team was getting to know Zue & Nico during the planning process, they couldn’t miss the “unconditional love” vibes that were coming from them.

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]

Every little detail had to be “All About Romance”, because Zue & Nico were as in love the day of their wedding, as they were the day we met! Their happiness, joy, and positive energy completely projects on this incredible and colorful Wedding Cake by Pavlov’s Lab.

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Needless to mention that tears streamed down everyone’s faces when the speeches about their love were made. But Zue & Nico knew how to cheer their guests back up, with an impressive champagne popping an amazing choreography for their first dance – almost professional I should say, that ended with a movie-like “true love’s kiss”![/field]
