This Vineyard Wedding Is Understated Elegance at It’s Best

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]We went very neutral with the color palette; light shades of blush, sage and various whites. I wanted the design to fit seamlessly with the venue, as if everything we brought in was meant to be there. We focused a lot on texture and everything ended up feeling very organic. [/field]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]We wanted something that felt like us, from the menu to the design it was meant to feel like what you would experience if you came to our house for dinner. The vibe was light and airy, but warm and romantic at the same time. I really wanted something outdoors with trees and Greengate was the dream setting, more perfect than we could have ever imagined. In a lot of ways, the venue was the main design detail, we just tried to accentuate that.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]My parents have been going wine tasting in Paso Robles for years; when I moved to California I started going with them and when I met Kevin he started coming as well. One Saturday in November 2020, we took our dog and went to Paso on our own to do a little tasting and attend a winery event. He proposed in a park at sunset after frantically trying to find “a pretty place to walk the dog”; I thought he was crazy, until he pulled out the ring. Easiest yes of my life.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]My dream menu from Field to Table, so many people said it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had. Family style Tri-tip, mashed potatoes, roasted chicken and risotto. My parents sourced wine from some of our favorite wineries in Paso Robles, and Copper & Crystal poured signature cocktails. Kevin’s signature cocktail was named for California while mine was named for Alaska, representing where we’re both from. [/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]Blooms by Morgan; Morgan created the most stunning floral arrangements, I cried when she brought me my bouquet. My only floral requirement was greenery and peonies, and she brought that and so much more. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]The Wooden Spoon made a delicious Lemon cake with vanilla buttercream for the cake cutting and then we had an assorted dessert bar. [/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]One of Kevin’s brothers, Matt, was our officiant. He knows us both so well and crafted the most beautiful ceremony. The right amount of funny, sweet, serious and inspirational. Both sets of parents stood during the ceremony and spoke of their love and blessings for our marriage. It was all set in the most beautiful and serene setting, surrounded by trees and water.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]Our dog, Alma was included in all the festivities, she had her own floral collar, walked down the aisle with our officiant and entered the reception with us during the grand entrance. She was a perfect angel the whole day. [/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]We took dance lessons for our first dance, and it was so fun to wow all of our guests with our choreography.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]Our wedding day was on the 6 year anniversary of our first date, so it all felt very full circle. Plus now we only have to remember one date!

From Planner Sarah: “Designing Stephanie & Kevin’s day was an honor and a joy! As a fellow wedding vendor, Stephanie had long dreamed of her wedding day and soon after meeting Kevin knew it wasn’t a question of “if” they were going to get married but “when.” Being a part of the Theoni Collection team, Stephanie’s design vision was clear and in keeping with her personal classic & timeless aesthetic. It was so fun to walk through selecting tabletop items & furnishings from her own collection, and she left the rest to us! Stephanie dreamed of a major lighting moment for her reception, and welcoming guests into the dancing area with fun chandeliers & tons of twinkle made for such a fun addition to an entirely romantic design.

As a nod to her family’s wood business in Alaska, we layered in many wood elements from the furnishings to the floral compotes. Stephanie & Kevin enjoyed a night celebrating under the stars & (many) lights and soaked in each moment surrounded by their favorite people!”[/field]
