Classic Elegance With Soft And Sweet Dusty Blue Details

[section title=”The Planning”]

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]

The wedding colors included white, cream/latte, neutrals, shades of green, and dusty blue.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Our vision was to create classy, yet modern elegance. Originally we planned to use only white, but then decided to add dusty blue as a detail – beautiful delphinium. Blue was also used at the invitations – lovely silk ribbon. Orchids brought a touch of luxury to the decor.

[field title=”Proposal Story”]Patricia grew up in Escondido, California (about an hour outside of San Diego) and Martin grew up in Rokycany, Czech Republic (just an hour outside of Prague). Nobody would’ve ever thought that their paths would cross. But as it happens, fate brought them together one day when they both joined a company called Facebook. (you might have heard of it…)

At Facebook, Patricia was an iOS engineer and Martin was an Android engineer (destined to become the topic of their first fight!) Even though they worked on different teams, they occasionally met at company happy hours where Martin would crack jokes (as he always does) and make Patricia laugh.

This is probably where their story together would have ended if they hadn’t found out that Patricia was a singer and Martin played the piano pretty well. Word got around and one day they agreed to play together. As soon as the first notes rang out, the two were instantly swept away by each other. After the first success, they agreed every day to meet again to play and sing, until one day Patricia admitted she had fallen under his “music spell”. They inevitably started dating after that, and the rest is history :)

On May 21st, 2022, Martin proposed to Patricia while on a trip together in Paris. Martin suspiciously carried a backpack with him the whole trip (as he had a ring hidden in it), but insisted it was only so he could take a picnic blanket with him! Fortunately, Patricia is very trusting and did not find it strange at all. They spent the day scootering around the city, and finally settled down for the promised picnic by the Eiffel Tower at sunset. At that moment, Martin got down on one knee and popped the question. Needless to say, Patricia said yes![/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Day before wedding was organised rehearsal dinner for family and close friends, around 40 guests – BBQ style – Canapees and small appetizers were served before and after the ceremony – family style starters were placed on the tables when the guests got seated – main course was choice between duck and flapsteak, risotto for veggie[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]

Flower selection we used: Peonies, Roses, Eustoma, Mathiola, Carnations, Blue Delphinium (bride’s favorite), Sweet pea, and greenery selection (NO eucalyptus). For the ceremony, a classical white arch was adorned with white flowers with a touch of pale blue. At the reception, we had white tablecloths, silver cutlery, crystal glasses, white wooden chairs, and dusty blue details, with dusty blue napkins made specifically for the couple.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]

It was an elegant, chic, romantic white cake – with flowers in white and cream – leaves, and airy decor from edible paper – transparent effect – each layer had a hint of ruffles.
