Following a gorgeous ceremony at Grosse Point Academy Chapel, the guests relocated for the reception at the Country Club Of Detroit. For the wedding reception, Kelly and Nate had a vision for a chic garden party with vibrant colors. Their outdoor reception space featured a classic black and white dance floor and romantic string lights. It was the perfect backdrop for their first dance. Dinner was served in the large indoor ballroom where guests sat at a mix of round and rectangular tables. After the speeches, the party moved back outside to dance under the string lights. The band kept the dance floor engaged all night, and the cigar bar with custom matches was a crowd favorite, too.

Through the ups and downs of navigating the world’s changes, Kelly and Nate’s love grew stronger and stronger, ultimately leading to Nate’s proposal. Nate proposed to Kelly at her family lake house on Burt Lake. It has been in her family for over thirty years and holds so much family history and wonderful memories. He took Kelly completely by surprise with the timing of the engagement but he made sure to talk to her parents and brothers beforehand, which is something that was extra important to Kelly. He proposed during a weekend when Kelly’s entire family was all at the lake house together. It was the perfect way to kick off their engagement celebrations altogether. They set off to plan the ultimate wedding celebration with their closest friends and family![/field]
