A Colorful Summer Wedding With Vintage Details at Addison Grove

[field title=”Wedding Colors”]Coral, peach, pink, dusty blue, orange[/field]

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The bride wanted to give a nod to summer in every aspect of the wedding design. We chose corals and pinks to pop against the venue’s natural backdrop and added pops of blue to contrast the warm hues. The couple wanted their day to evoke joy through the design.[/field]

[field title=”Proposal Story”]The couple was engaged in the Florida Keys just after graduating college. The bride always wanted professional pictures of them taken everywhere they went, so naturally the grooms set up a photoshoot at a nearby pier. The groom waited until the bride wasn’t looking his way to take a knee and pop the question. The bride said she “obviously said yes,” and they were able to take proposal pictures right then and there. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]It’s no question that the bride’s dress was the talk the wedding. A 2020 Berta dress with more than 10,000 hand sewn sequins, it was a show stopper in its own right. The bride saw the dress on TikTok before the couple was engaged. She tried on a few other dresses before ultimately trying on the Berta dress. The bride explained that there was just no other dress for her, “it was love at first sight.”[/field]

[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bride is a marketing representative for Shop Revelry, the Austin based bridesmaid dress company. Incorporating cool blue tones was important in order to contrast the pink hues in the flowers. Her bridesmaids chose mismatched satin dresses in the shades rosemary, romantic blue and french blue.[/field]

[section title=”The Details”]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]The couple chose summer inspired signature cocktails that were light and paired well with Feather & Frosting’s incredible cake. The frosé bar kept guests cool in the heat and made for the perfect cocktail beverage.[/field]

[field title=”Florals & Decor”]We wanted to give florals a nod in more than just the arrangements. Bee Lavish provided antique, mismatched, floral patterned china which paired well with the head table’s floral meadow runner. Our favorite arrangement would have to be the head table. The meadow design was what we based a lot of the florals on. We wanted to create a wow moment when guests entered the reception. We incorporated local blooms from Texas farmers to bring in the whimsical wildflower look while also keeping the design romantic and cozy. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Feathers & Frosting created the perfect bare cake topped with whimsical flowers. The cake cutting was incredibly special and created the perfect photo op in the late evening.[/field]

[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]The couples love for modern and classic music was intermixed throughout the reception. The couple entered with their reception with Harry Styles’ “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” danced the night away to classics by The Beatles, Abba, and Shania Twain, and ended their night with Taylor Swift’s “Lover.”[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #1″]We incorporated delicate details into the table menus. Owl and Envelope created water color paintings to coincide with each meal course. It was the perfect finishing touch to compliment the fine china and colorful florals.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #2″]The bride opted for fun, casual golden goose sneakers instead of high heels. She was able to run and frolic around The Addison Grove for their sunset photos and dance the night away during the reception.[/field]

[field title=”Special Detail #3″]To create a more intimate setting in the reception, the couple chose to create a lounge setting with a light gray velvet couch and mirrored coffee table. They were able to sit and sip their drinks as their best man and maid of honor toasted their marriage.[/field]
