[field title=”Wedding Colors”]We wanted our colour palette to be in harmony with the aesthetic of the Reception Venue at Monastiri in Paros island. Therefore we used a lot of neutral colours, earthy tones, natural materials like wood, clay, hammered metals and numerous dried elements that are predominant in the landscape of the Cycladic islands during the summer months. [/field]
[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]Alongside with our bride and groom, we developed a design for their wedding decor that tied in with the style of their chosen venue. We identified that there were bohemian elements combined with natural materials and furniture as well as traditional decorative accents in clay and wood.
We also wanted the design to complement the broader surroundings of the island of Paros, which being in the Cyclades offered a wilder beauty. Therefore our purpose was to create an overall aesthetic which felt like all elements used in the decor, from the flowers to the fabrics, stoneware, and other decorative details, were part of the surrounding nature. [/field]
[field title=”Proposal Story”]Patrizia and Florian first met in High School and quickly became god friends.
The more time they spent together, the closer friends they became. After graduating high school they realised there was more to their relationship and they hesitantly decided to give their relationship a try.
Within the following years, they grew closer as a couple despite spending times apart while studying abroad. One of their favourite things to do together, even during the years they were living apart, was to vacation in the bride’s small cottage in the picturesque island of Paros.
2 years before their wedding and while they were on vacation in Paros Florian proposed on the Olive Garden of the cottage. He decorated the trees with countless fairy lights and once the bride said yes, they instantly decided that Paros was the location they wanted to officially celebrate their wedding too. [/field]

[field title=”Wedding Gown”]The bride wanted a Grecian style dress, since the wedding being held in Greece.
She chose a simple but beautiful gown from Temple Bo & Luca, perfect for a hot summer wedding in Greece. The silk fabric was soft and moved naturally with the wind and had a gorgeous tie which complemented the bride’s accessories. [/field]
[field title=”Bridesmaid Dresses”]The bride wanted only her sister to be by her side on her big day, as her Maid of Honour. Together they chose a sparkly sage green dress which perfectly accentuated her beautiful smile and complemented the bride’s attire. [/field]

[field title=”Food & Drink”]Since the wedding was an intimate affair of 40 guests, the couple wanted a similar feel for their wedding meal. Therefore they chose a family-style dinner curated by Miltiadis Kioukas, with shared plates. They only opted for Mediterranean inspired dishes and infused in their menu some of their favourite Greek dishes such as handmade traditional pies, Fava from Santorini and a slow cooked lamb with oven baked potatoes. [/field]
[field title=”Florals & Decor”]In the decor design of Patrizia and Florian’s wedding, we used numerous natural elements found in the natural surroundings and Greek landscape. We opted to also match the florals alongside our floral designer Chaniotis, to these elements by using lots of Greece, dried foliage, flower colours in white, ochre and some burgundy touches for a few rustic notes.
We also incorporated elements of wood and brass metals in our place settings alongside neutral tone linens.
To incorporate more of the earth’s beautiful elements, we incorporated rough crystals on each guest’s place cards which symbolise wellbeing, stability and grounding.[/field]
[field title=”Wedding Cake”]For the cake we wanted to continue with the natural theme of the overall decor aesthetic and opted for a simple two-tired cake with subtle brass detailing and complemented this with a few air plants as a simple yet natural decorative accent. [/field]
[field title=”Readings, Ceremony Music, Reception Songs”]Τhe couple worked together with two talented musicians, a singer and pianist to create a more instrumental version of their two favourite songs which they incorporated into the ceremony procession and recession.
They wanted these instrumental versions to be in line with the more informal ceremony that felt like an intimate gathering of their closest friends and family in the couple’s exchange of vows. [/field]
[field title=”Special Detail #1″]For the cocktail hour, the coupe wanted to make sure all guests got to know eachother a little better and also get familiarised with the traditions of their chosen wedding destination, Greece.
Therefore, they designed an interactive game where guests were given fun challenges to perform such as, learning and demonstrating a small part of a traditional Greek dance, take funny photos of all guests with a Polaroid camera and record a short video with wedding advise for the couple. [/field]
