From Weddings by SilkeSaying “I do’s” in a beautiful est. 1640 rural Tuscan Villa in the old world – surrounded by olive gardens and breathtaking backdrops – sounds like a dream! And thanks to wedding planner, designer & stylist Weddings by Silke and a harmonious experienced team of talented wedding vendors, Alana & Stefan`s dream of a romantic Tuscan wedding weekend was brought to life in ways that have exceeded their and their guests’ expectations. With it’s stunning panoramic views over the pretty valley, the enchanting stand alone Villa Montanare in Cortona was the perfect setting for their romantic wedding weekend. The lovely couple from California invited their 60 wonderful guests to a funny laid back pizza party at the pergola terrace of the intimate Villa. To say warmly “Benvenuti in Tuscany” the couple decided to a beautiful typical Italian design – with a rustic set up with mixed herbs, tomatoes, spaghetti, and a lot of the most delicious pizza – of course out of the huge stone oven of the Villa Montanare. The gorgeous Italian folk trio around Salvo Falcone moved around the guests and made this night under the Tuscan sky just smooth and perfect. As a little surprise Stefan the groom lured his bride Alana into the romantic Cantina for a small intimate private concert.

On their dreamy wedding day, Stefan went with his best men’s to Cortona for a relaxed lunch, while Alana was relaxing by the pool with her bridal party with delicious pastries, fruits, and a surprise massage for the bride – offered from the venue. Alana felt treated like a goddess, surrounded just by love. After a calm getting ready the couple had an emotional romantic first look at the top of the gardens with a magnificent background. While their guests arrived slowly by shuttle and enjoyed the “Terrazza Bellavista” welcome drinks, the couple and their bridal and grooms party enjoyed a charming hidden pre-ceremony party at the beautiful pool bar. The scenic intimate ceremony was set in the backyard olive garden of the Villa with a dreamy view into the surrounding hills.

For a cozy atmosphere, the setup was like in an Amphitheatre and was followed by a wonderful Apertivo with drinks and a lot of delicious Tuscan appetizers at the picturesque Pergola Terrazza. The dreamy wedding reception and party took place at the lower olive garden of the Villa Montanare – the Giardino Paradiso. Together with the couple, the planner and designer Silke worked on the perfect design & styling concept which fits the personality of the couple and the venue and which turned out so dreamy and perfect. The colorful floral arrangements and the mismatch of lemons, grapefruits, and oranges were a beautiful addition to the blue tablecloth, elegant wooden chairs, and the neutral tableware and charming Limoncello guest gifts used as placeholders for their guests. Not to mention it was set all under the olive trees – filled with fairy lights – absolutely divine!
