Classic Meets Modern at This Montana Wedding With 360 Mountain Views

360 breathtaking views, a sunset color palette, and fresh mountain air shape the day for this Big Sky wedding. If you love the Montana state of mind, you don’t want to miss this one! Lindsey and Derek enlisted the help of Soiree 99 Events and Wild Blume to make their classic meets modern wedding come to life. Every awe-inspiring detail is captured in the full gallery taken by Orange Photographie — and while you’re there, be sure to check out that curated s’mores dessert table, highlighted with monogrammed marshmallows!

From Orange Photographie… Lindsey and Derek saw their wedding as the perfect opportunity to share all the beauty and adventure they love about Big Sky, Montana! The Reserve at Moonlight Basin is surrounded by the most stunning and jaw-dropping 360 mountain views. The stand out of the wedding was easily the 30 feet of ceremony florals — exclusively lining the aisle on acrylic boxes to give a “floating effect”– and framing the epic infinity pool, drop-off style views of where the couple recited their vows.

The couple wanted their wedding to feel fresh, modern and funky with a variety of patterns and textures- ice blue velvet napkins, art deco prints and custom invitation suites with suede and brass accents. Since they were not cake fans, they opted for a curated s’mores dessert table highlighted with wedding monogram embossed marshmallows– which made other appearances throughout their wedding design– from their invitation suite to a custom acrylic sign which accented a round white bar in a separate bar tent.

While they wanted funk, they also wanted timeless Montana– this led to their wedding designer’s suggestion of a Big Sky sunset color palette: peach, dusty blue, rust and pops of teal. The colors all came full circle with the ultimate sunset at the end of the perfect evening on their wedding day.

Another memorable element was Lindsey’s jaw-dropping Galia Lahav gown with the draped, beaded back. This was actually a last minute change after disastrous alterations resulted in her original dress being unwearable.

A panicked Lindsey put the sample gown on and everyone immediately knew it was all meant to be, as it fit her like a glove and was such a showstopper. It served as such a good reminder to not panic when wedding plans get altered…better plans might be in store that you might not have even dreamt of at first!
