Their love took them from NYC to Florida and finally South Carolina to The Ocean Course on Kiawah Island where they tied the knot with a light and coastal-inspired day with subtle details and florals by Engaging Events, LLC. From the Bride…Dave and I met when he was a bartender at my favorite bar in college and our relationship blossomed from there. We entered into a long-distance relationship when I moved to Florida and then bought a house together when I moved home.
We got engaged in NYC and married in South Carolina and we love that our love has made us travel all around making memories and also excited for what’s to come!
Describe the wedding day: The morning started out with a huge storm which brought the most perfect breeze and cooling effect with clouds and perfect lighting. The ceremony was beautiful with our driftwood branches and flowers that everyone was wowed by. Dinner was delicious and we danced the night away under the tent with the ocean breeze!
What was your vision?: My vision was light, coastal, relaxing vacation vibes. I wanted lots of subtle details and neutrals because the venue was so naturally stunning, I only wanted to compliment everything and take away from nothing!
Advice for future brides: Really listen to your wedding planners. They are pros for a reason, so if they suggest an alternative to something you think is perfect, they know best and have a good reason for it.
