The Terracotta Themed Escort Card Display Every Plant-Obsessed Couple Needs to See

Calling all “plant parents”! This adorable backyard wedding in California planned by Amorology is right up your alley. Today’s darling duo originally planned to host a 300-person celebration by the beach. But when COVID made an appearance, they decided to tie the knot at home, with just 60 of their nearest and dearest. The tented reception was dressed in beautiful shades of pink, teal, and terracotta… adorned in lush arrangements from Blooms Design House. We couldn’t help but oooh and ahhh over the adorable terracotta themed escort display, not to mention the too-cute-to-handle potted plant cake design! To see all the details (and pin your faves), head on over to the full gallery captured by Cavin Elizabeth Photography!

From Cavin ElizabethTeresa and Christian had originally planned for a very different wedding. Their initial plan was to have 250-300 guests for a Catholic ceremony and a hotel reception by the ocean. After Covid made its full appearance in California, the plans began to change. Ultimately, nearly a week out from the wedding, they made the plan to host the reception at Teresa’s parents’ home in Fallbrook, California.

They kept the church ceremony, although it did move from indoors to outside of the church. Their final guest count was around 60 guests who all enjoyed the beautiful scenery and libations at the family home. Beautiful shades of pink, teal, and terracotta graced the escort display and tablescapes of the reception.

To compliment the tones of terracotta, wooden crossback chairs for guests and linen-tufted cane back chairs surrounded a mix of round and long tables. These organic wood tones felt so cozy underneath the reception tent! One group of tiny details to note can be found on the wedding cake.

Potted plants were incorporated into the cake’s design in the form of bas relief. Plus, the plants are potted in little terracotta pots – how darling!

The couple enjoyed their toasts and first dance, as guests – including the groom’s parents via a video call – watched in awe. It was truly an incredibly sweet evening.
