Of all the wedding wisdom we’ve heard, “rain on your wedding day means good luck” might be our favorite! From a bridal party laughing under umbrellas to guests comfortably dining under a clear tent while watching the rain romantically fall, we think more brides should hope for a downpour on their special day! From the bride… Carmel was always our special place throughout our relationship and even where we got engaged. There was no question when we selected Carmel Valley to host our special day that Gardener Ranch was the perfect location. A private venue to allow us to get away from the outside world and spend time with those close to us.

Our vision was for an outdoor wedding that gave you a sort of garden, whimsical feel. We wanted it to be romantic yet playful and full of love. What was supposed to be an outdoor ceremony, due to rain, turned in to the most beautiful garden-like setting indoors.

A clear tent was brought in for dinner which was incredible as you could see the rain coming down which made you feel like you were out in the rain yet still covered. Leading up to the wedding there was nothing but rain on the forecast which turned out to make for a day we would never forget and a wedding even more special than we could have imagined.
