An abundance of blush and cream blooms will make you stop in your tracks, but it’s the thoughtful details of the day that make this wedding truly shine. Travis and Jillian put meaning into every moment of their special day, like remembering the groom’s father by creating muted table numbers in the shape of nautical flags to honor his love of Cape Cod and affinity for flag collecting. The couple exchanged vows overlooking a sail-boat filled bay, and the celebration continued with a lavish garden-inspired reception space artfully designed by Always Yours Events. From the bride… As soon as Travis and I got engaged, it was clear to both of us that there was no other place than Cape Cod for us to have our wedding. Wequassett really spoke to us, it is the perfect mix of upscale, elegance and romantic, yet still has that approachable Cape Cod style that we dreamed of for our big day. Cape Cod is sentimental to both of us since I grew up going to my grandparents’ home in Chatham, MA and Travis’ family has had a home in Yarmouth, MA for over 40 years.
We loved that we had a blank canvas to play with and could build out an ethereal setting together with our fabulous wedding planner turned friend, Keri of Always Yours Events. Keri designed a lush and magical oceanfront ceremony comprised of a white rose petal lined aisle structured with white-washed boxes overflowing with hydrangeas, our favorite flower, and a Cape Cod staple as well as two fairy-tale urns blooming upon pedestals framing us during the ceremony.
The floral team at Wild Dahlia led by Shawna Havenga worked with Keri to create a lavish garden-inspired flair with awe-inspiring floral statements that transformed the room into a lush and glamorous space with east coast charm. The day was magical and we felt so blessed to be surrounded by loved ones who came from near and far to celebrate with us.
