Terracotta may be the color of the moment, but I’m a firm believer this hue is perpetually beautiful… in our homes, our closets and especially in weddings. Bronte Bride and Faint Floral seemed to think so, too, as they crafted this entire editorial around it. My friends, the result is steal-worthy. From the Stylist, Bronte Bride… I wanted to showcase terracotta in a subtle yet elegant way, highlighting natural earthy tones and infusing bold colours like coral and burnt orange. From the handmade earrings and hand sculpted place cards to the decorative vases on the tablescape, clay and terracotta tones were prevalent throughout the shoot in the most beautiful ways.

Ralph Klein Park is a conservation area, located just East of Calgary Alberta, filled with natural wetlands and wildlife. We loved integrating a clear juxtaposition of the modern cement building with the surrounding natural wildlife area. It’s a stunning venue placed in a picturesque landscape.

From the Florist, Faint Floral… For this shoot I wanted to keep the flowers similar and complimentary to the dry, grassy Alberta environment. My main goal was to keep everything light, airy, and organic. The ingredients that I used and inspired me were Protea, Willow Branches, dried Eucalyptus, dried Yarrow, foraged grasses, and then a pop of coral Naranga roses.
