From Savan Photography… The foundation of our shoot was inspired by Provence, France, and we wanted to invoke a feeling of an intimate Provencal wedding. The beautiful Lavender Marketplace and Workshop, a true gem located in Sierra Madre, was the perfect setting for our editorial, featuring a gorgeous garden and a beautiful conservatory that seems to have been transported direct from France.
We wanted to honor this beautiful venue and draw upon its organic and garden-like features. To start, our florals, courtesy of Charm of Bloom Theory Design, were wild and lush in nature, and adorned the venue with shades of greenery, white, mauve, and lavender. Our table scape started with a light blue soft linen, via Wild Flower Linen, and we had Bloom Theory Design’s florals cascade across the table.
Vintage dishes and flatware, Cherished Rentals’s etched crystal glassware, and Sweet Salvage Rental’s silver candlesticks accented the table and brought our French vibes to life. Owl Post Calligraphy created an invitation suite with ever-reaching vines that further complimented the organic nature of our shoot.
This venue also hosts a variety of art workshops and events so we thought it would be the perfect tie-in to feature original works from our male model, Joshua S. Pieker, who is a live wedding painter and created paintings specifically for this shoot! One of which, he painted on the spot once he saw his gorgeous bride dressed up in a cathedral lace robe with her beautiful hair and make up, done by the phenomenal Chantel with The Face of Beauty US.
