Less is More

Let’s talk about guest lists. More than ever, couples are prioritizing who is most important, rather than how many people they can squeeze in, in order to pull off a more intimate wedding. With “city hall elopement”, “Elopement photography ideas” and “Destination wedding” leading the most popular search terms, we’re anticipating lots of small but special celebrations in 2019.

Keep it Simple

Pinterest is all over the latest dress styles from around the globe. And this year, they’re telling us that bridal style is trending to low key in 2019. With “short wedding dresses” topping the list in France, to “beach wedding dress” searches in the UK, and “natural wedding dress” leading in Japan, understated elegance is the new must do. Which means Megan Markle’s simple and striking gown was totally on theme!

Take it Outside

Tying the knot outdoors is officially IN. In fact, the UK recently changed its rules to allow for legal outdoor wedding ceremonies because of it! With “forest elopement”, “small outdoor wedding ceremony” and “back garden wedding” leading the search charts, it’s clear that couples are very excited about selecting a location for their ceremony that’s both naturally beautiful and true to their tastes. No complaints here – the results are always breathtaking!

Go Green

You’re already v. familiar with the “go green” phrase. But did you ever think about incorporating sustainability into your wedding? According to the social platform, Gen Z and Millenials couples are looking for ways more than ever to make their weddings eco-friendly (the “sustainable wedding ideas” term was up 181%, according to Pinterest). Top pinned ideas for this include opting for signage instead of individual menus and programs, offering guests reusable drinkware and straws, and using potted plants that can be repurposed later. And that’s just the beginning…!
