This Cape May Wedding at Willow Creek Winery is Redefining Rustic

One little peek at this gallery and Magdalena Studios will make you fall head-over-heels in love with New Jersey. Set in Cape May at the gorgeous Willow Creek Winery, this wedding is totally redefining rustic with elegant details layered into a barn setting complete with sparkling chandeliers.

June 1st, 2018 was the day my fairytale came true! Joe and I said our vows at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Stone Harbor, NJ. After the ceremony we swept our guest away to Willow Creek Winery, a rustic barn in Cape May, NJ. Where we couldn’t wait to celebrate our marriage with family and friends!

All brides dream about living their wedding day over again but unfortunately won’t remember all the details. We hired, Magi, because we wanted to see the raw emotions from our wedding day forever. A lot goes on during any wedding and we trusted she’d capture every second! She exceeded our expectations! She never stopped working her hardest and kept us calm all day. Thanks to Magdalena Studios we look forward to one day showing our children our wedding album!

Our wedding was all about the ‘small stuff.’ My mother and I worked for weeks to build the perfect activities and details for a party no one could forget! I wanted our guest to be dancing, laughing, or taking part in the fun we worked so hard to create! From building the flower wall to embellishing my own veil, I was so proud of our hard work! My husband, Joe and I agreed that a band was necessary to turn our celebration into a party. All night we danced and laughed together with friends and family, by the end our cheeks felt full and our feet were numb!

My advice for other couples is to always have a list. Check at least one thing off everyday! When you think you’re done you’ll have 10 more things to do. A budget is VERY important. Know from the beginning what you can spend and create a spreadsheet for all costs. This will help you stay organized and keep things affordable. Lastly, when your big day finally arrives take a moment throughout your celebration and have your husband or bridesmaids ask you these three questions. What do you feel? What do you see? What do you smell? Whether it’s your husbands soft touch, the embarrassing Uncle dancing like a chicken, or the salmon being served to your guest, you’ll remember these moments forever!

After the wedding, Joe and I flew to Florida for a quick five day trip. This was great but we knew we wanted more time to relax. So we decided to plan a second ten day honeymoon for the fall. We now have something to look forward to and a chance to soak in our marriage once again!
