Malibu Solstice Vineyard Wedding – The “Dream Wedding” Winners

Last year, Robert Michael Films dreamt up a new approach to wedding films – a series of short stories that focuses on one moment or gives particular insight from a unique narrative or point of view. Called the “Vignette Series,” Robert knew this was an idea that he wanted to share with the world. With a heart for giving back, Robert decided to offer a free wedding film in this style for one deserving couple. The idea blossomed into a full wedding giveaway, and along with Lauren Weidley of Chancey Charm San Diego, Meghan Christine Photography, Flowers by Lady Buggs, Frost It Cakery plus many, many more generous wedding vendors.. a dream-come-true-wedding happened for one very special couple!

The winners were Ivy and Samuel! Gifting this couple their dream wedding — as a thank you for their service to others — was an honor and a privilege for the entire vendor team that came together.

From the Bride… Our love for helping people brings us together and fuels our relationship. As a nurse, I will be able to spend many years of my life taking care of others and serving those in immediate medical need. As a Marine, Samuel will be a part of the United States front lines of defense.”

Ivy and Samuel said “I do” at Malibu Solstice Vineyards on a beautiful October day with breathtaking views overlooking the Pacific Ocean. With 40 of their closest friends and family in attendance, the setting was intimate and romantic – just what this sweet couple envisioned. When planning their wedding with Lauren Weidley of Chancey Charm San Diego, Ivy said, “My dream wedding is just being surrounded by people who love us and just feeling pampered and beautiful!” And that’s exactly what they got!

Ivy and Samuel were even treated with gift certificates from Skin Solutions by Lani for facial and skincare services leading up to their wedding. They were also treated with gift certificates for wedding bands complements of Brian Gavin Diamonds!

Sam wore his dress blues, while Ivy looked stunning in her high-neck lace dress with a beautiful scalloped lace cathedral veil. The bridesmaids wore mix-matched dresses in hues of purple while the groomsmen looked dapper in light grey suits. Ivy envisioned a palette with plenty of neutrals and greenery with pops of purple, so Ultra Violet (Pantone’s Color of the Year) was seen throughout the décor from the florals by Lady Buggs, cake by Frost It Cakery, up-lighting, and paper goods by Papercake Creative. To compliment the vineyard’s already stunning ambiance, Out of the Dust Rentals provided antique wood chairs, wine barrels used for tables and much more. A craft wine and beer cart was provided by Draft in Style Beer and Wine and was the perfect complement to the Famous Taco Truck selections.

Their ceremony was sweetly lead by a close friend and featured the music of guitarist and vocalist, Warren Takahashi, while the reception was rockin’ thanks to Afterburn Productions. Meghan Christine Photography and Robert Michael Films did a wonderful job capturing all the sweet moments and details of the day.
