The Notebook Has Nothing On This Southern Wedding Shoot
January 4, 2018
From a romantic boat ride to start off the special day, to an evening celebration under the Avenue of Oaks at Boone Hall, this wedding inspiration shoot never fails to deliver. With plenty of pretty in between - we're talking a bouquet to die for and a brunch that leaves us longing - Hannah Alyssa captured it all. The team that put this all together - including WED, Fox Events, Poppy Custom Florals, Explore Charleston and more - hit it out of the park; can y'all get together more often? We like what we see...

From Hannah Alyssa Photography... Our editorial tells the story of Everly and Grayson, who escaped to Charleston, South Carolina for an intimate celebration surrounded by 270-year-old live oaks draped with Spanish moss and the timeless beauty of the South.

Following a romantic morning boat ride, they enjoyed a Southern-inspired brunch on The Cotton Dock at Boone Hall Plantation, complete with candied pecan sticky buns, red velvet waffles and buttermilk biscuits. Incorporated into the décor were the just released, second collection of gilded bugs from the Goldbug Collection at Croghan's Jewel Box, a third generation gleaming boutique on King Street.

The groom donned a unique Brackish bowtie, handcrafted in Charleston, where each feather is hand selected, along with attire from M. Dumas & Sons, who is celebrating 100 years in service this year.

In the evening, the newlyweds celebrated with a small group of family and friends under the Avenue of Oaks (an unprecedented event) while sipping Market Blueberry Mint Juleps to the sounds of bluegrass tunes by The Bluestone Ramblers.
