From Ashley Brand from LVL weddings..When Nick and Annie first contacted me, they gave me the criteria of good food, beautiful and unique venue, and a laid back, whimsical, yet refined vibe. Annie is from California and Nick is from upstate New York. Both currently residing in New York City, we wanted to make sure them as well as their guests felt they were on amazing wine country weekend vacation that also happened to include a wedding! There fun, laid back personality was something we wanted to convey in to the overall feel of the wedding. So after touring a few wine country venues, Chalk Hill Estate was the clear winner. The privacy, breathtaking, hilltop vineyard views, and a delicious culinary experience, there was no turning back. Keeping with the wild, organic desire for the design, the ceremony arbor and aisle treatments were whimsical and natural to compliment the surrounding nature. A beautiful bounty of cheese and charcuterie awaited their guests for cocktail hour paired with the delicious Russian River valley wines that Chalk Hill offers. Moving to the dinner reception, the guests were seated amongst wooden dining cabanas with sprawling colorful floral and candles. The velvet textures of linen, rustic wood dining tables, and vintage glassware kept the design eclectic and fun. The energy from the band, a fun Donut dessert display, and a beautiful California summer night, surely did not disappoint.
