From the Bride... Chris and I first met in high school but didn't start hanging out regularly until late senior year when we realized we were both headed to the same college in Boulder. Chris actually asked me to prom earlier that year, but I had another date and had to turn him down. I guess he forgave me for the prom incident, as we started spending a lot of time together first semester of college. We fell for each other as summer turned to fall that year and spent the rest of college dating. Our nine year relationship consisted of a lot of dream chasing, some unfortunate long distance, and a whole lot of adventure.

A month before the wedding, we found out Chris matched for his orthopedic surgery residency in Los Angeles, so our Palm Springs bash was kind of like a homecoming us! We wanted our wedding to be relaxed and fun, because that's how our relationship has always been. We went with a very neutral color palette to allow for the natural beauty of the Coachella Valley to shine. Palm Springs was the location Chris and I first went on vacation together when we were 19 years old and it was always my dream wedding location!

I had a few favorite moments from our wedding day. First, the morning of I was completely surprised when Chris had set up a private massage for me to relax before I had to start getting ready. He knew I would undoubtedly be stressed the morning of, so his little surprise definitely put me at ease. Second, I have danced for most of my life so my dad and I surprised the crowd with a fun hip-hop routine we choreographed to "Dance Like Yo Daddy" by Meghan Trainor. Lastly, I genuinely felt so much love and happiness that night. I knew our family and friends were so happy for us and Chris had the biggest smile on his face all night long. It was the best.

From the Monocle Project...

The dress: Seeing the empty dress hanging in preparation for the bride, you could imagine how beautiful Courtney would be in it, but when Courtney walked out of the room and everyone saw her for the first time walking out in her gown, the room went quiet with awe. One's imagination could not have prepared them for how stunning Courtney looked in that moment.

The location: La Quinta Country Club had been a highly sought after location by Courtney and Chris because of its breathtaking views of the mountains and the inspiring architecture of the club itself. Scattered with palm trees and a reserved spot beneath a giant olive tree made this the perfect venue for all the celebrations and joy of their union with one another.
