While the gardens of Kestrel Park, pretty florals by Knot Just Flowers, and vintage-inspired linens by La Tavola provide a touch of romance, they’re balanced out by a clean, black and white palette and the Bride’s chic, Sarah Seven gown. So get to pinning, because this combination of European elegance and modern minimalism is a match made in heaven!
From My Lovely Events… Kestrel Park nestled in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley is the definition of old world charm with its stunning stables and exquisitely manicured gardens. While heavily inspired by European romance, we wanted to embrace modern minimalism with romantic garden fusion.
The Bride wore a lovely sheath gown from Sarah Seven along with black strappy heels from Jimmy Choo. Janet of Janet Villa Hair and Makeup finished her look with upswept hair and natural, soft makeup. The Groom kept it modern in a classic slim fit suit and fresh beard.
The details included soft hints of nude and rust against our clean black and white palette. Dianuh of Chasing Linen created crisp and clean invitations on deckled-edged handmade paper, and we added silk runners and ribbons from Illume Silks for a romantic touch. One of our favorite details were the beautiful His and Hers vow books delicately wrapped in nude colored silk ribbons. Sharon of Knot Just Flowers kept the florals light and airy against vintage inspired La Tavola Linens and a modern table setting from Borrowed Blu. We chose a clean white cake from Frost It Cakery with a subtle lace pattern to complement the modern aesthetic while set upon a vintage inspired cake stand. We enjoyed working with different textures in our design from lace patterns and soft silks to organic textures in the florals. Our goal was to marry the beauty of simplicity while infusing modern elegance.
