Bringing the Mediterranean to Florida
June 23, 2017
Inspired by a recent vacation to Capri, this couple transformed their Florida venue into a Mediterranean masterpiece where they could have the romantic wedding of their dreams while still celebrating with all of their friends and family. Anthology Co. made Italian staples – lemons and olive foliage – the focal point, accenting them with cheerful yellow blooms, and Bill Hansen Luxury Catering and Event Production continued the Mediterranean theme in the menu. After looking at the gallery by Merari Photography, you'll really think you're in magical Capri.

From the Bride... Brian and I met at the Publix deli counter. After quite some time, he planned to propose in Santa Barbara, California, but the second he picked up the ring (three months prior to his planned proposal) he couldn't wait and called for a reservation at our favorite restaurant/first date location. I was seriously underdressed for the occasion and had one too many glasses of wine while we were waiting for our table. So, prior to his proposal – cringe moment – when he was telling me he loved me, I responded jokingly by shoving my ring finger in his face shouting "prove it!" Long story short, a couple of minutes later, he proposed, and I was SO SO SO surprised!

Since we couldn't make the trip to Italy for our wedding (because we wanted all of our friends and family present), we chose a venue and theme reminiscent of Capri, Italy, where we had vacationed a year prior. Our wedding was inspired by the Mediterranean waters and lemon trees! Aside from the gorgeous venue and atmosphere, we hired a band to really keep the party going to ensure everybody had the time of their lives.
