When this couple approached Salt Harbor Designs to plan their big day at The Atrium in Wilmington, they shared their priorities were to embrace “food, family, and fall” – and that’s exactly what they achieved! They served a delicious, family style dinner and tons of desserts (including both cake and pie!) at long, communal tables featuring floral arrangements in classic, autumnal hues. From Salt Harbor Designs… When Bret and Brooke decided to plan their wedding in Wilmington, they wanted an event that embraced food, family, and fall. They were married and celebrated afterwards at The Atrium in downtown Wilmington. Brooke is part of a traditional Italian family, so the couple decided to serve their guests a huge family-style dinner and more dessert pies than their guests could ever eat. Guests dined at two long, communal tables that were filled with candles and vases of orange and burgundy flowers. After dinner, the family danced and sang the night away, ending the evening with late night hot dogs before parading to their after-party a few blocks away. Brooke is a well-know patron of misfit animals, volunteering at shelters and serving as a foster parent for many abandoned pups. Rather than favors, the couple gave a donation to their local animal shelter.
