A Real Bride Who Pulled off the Grecian Goddess Look

As a yoga instructor and boho-chic style lover, this bride knew exactly the look she was going for – Grecian goddess. From her flowing dress to the gladiator sandals to the gold headpieces that tied it all together, she looked every bit the part. Watch the entire day come to life through the lens of Alexandra Meseke, with even more waiting right here.

From the Bride… I envisioned an ethereal and whimsical wedding. Very boho chic. I am a yoga instructor and Paul is very laid back, and we wanted our wedding day to portray how we are.

Our color palette was earthy tones with hints of champagne and gold. I wanted the flowers to be a big moment as the venue was in the country. I knew beautiful wildflowers would pull it all together and I just loved out greenery runner across our sweetheart table. Also, all the bridesmaids had gold olive leaf bands in their hair.

We made bridesmaid and groomsmen pallets to showcase each member of the wedding party with a picture of them and a story to go with it. We also spray painted branches gold and hung crystal around them for extra decor. I also had a small swan pinned to the back of my dress that was my grandmothers. It was nice to use that as my something old and keep her by my side.

My gown was a Shareen Bridal gown. As soon as I tried it on and looked in the mirror I knew it was the one. I started crying and told everyone in the room, “This is the dress. I can picture myself walking to Paul in this dress.” Once I had the dress, I knew I wanted gladiator sandals to go for the full Grecian goddess look, with a gold headpiece and wavy curls.

Our piece of advice for future brides is to savor the moments on your wedding day. Take a second to step back and let it all sink in. It’ll be over in a flash.
