This Charleston plantation wedding is overflowing with a whole lot of classic, Southern hospitality, and Virgil Bunao Photography captured it all! The bride and groom made their guests' comfort their priority, adding in thoughtful touches throughout the weekend. My favorite – as friends and family entered the tent containing the dance floor, they were greeted with chaise lounge chairs and a shoe valet for ladies to trade their heels for comfortable dancing shoes. From A Charleston Bride... I knew Liz and I would hit it off from the very start because of how detail oriented she was! It was very important to the bride and groom that their guests be comfortable and taken care of the entire weekend. Their intimate ceremony was underneath oak trees at Lowndes Grove with streaming orchids hanging in the trees. Guests enjoyed cocktail hour with passed champagne and hors d’oeuvres. Guests were welcomed into a fully, draped dinner tent with lush linens in different patterns – one a metallic gold and the other a blush floral. The tables were set with gold flatware and vintage gold and blush glassware. The floral on the tables were hydrangeas, ranunculus, peonies, garden roses, and sweet peas. Liz and Steve danced their first dance under the open air, and it looked as if they were dancing on water! After dinner, guests entered the lounge tent complete with a dance floor and even a shoe valet for ladies to drop their heels and put on dancing shoes. The guys weren’t fully left out – they were able to enjoy a cigar and bourbon tasting bar. We ended the night with a sparkler departure!
