You know what’s insanely cute? When two wedding vendors have a chance meeting under a Sperry tent at a client’s big day and fall madly in love. Now fast forward to this sunny, lemon-filled celebration in New York, and those two vendors are saying “I Do”… under a Sperry tent of course. From Stacie Shea… This wedding was a labor of my love for team Stacie Shea Events and such a great love story as well. The owner of the The Greenwich Tent Co, Zachary Wilson married my loving assistant Erica Choutka and they both met while working in the Connecticut event industry in Greenwich a few years earlier. Zachary and Erica met under a Sperry tent at an event in June of 2013 when Erica worked for a fellow planner in Connecticut . Erica was the assistant to the Wedding Planner, and he was responsible for the amazing reception tent set up. The setting was beautiful, and the wedding went off without a hitch. We stood along the perimeter and watched the guests celebrate the new bride and groom. Zach and Erica made some small talk, and the common surface conversation between two people who had just met for the first time. They talked about their college alma maters and their mutual love for the event industry. The night was a success, the wedding went off without a hitch, their was a happy bride and groom and a new industry connection. Fast forward a few short years later Erica started working at Stacie Shea Events as an associate designer and Stacie asked Erica to go to an event tasting at On the Marc Events in Stamford. It was at this industry tasting that her and Zach met again and kick started their relationship. Zach recently took over Sperry tents Greenwich and formed the Greenwich Tent Company. Now just a short few years later they will be standing under that same Sperry tent celebrating yet another wedding together. This event goes to show you can meet the love of your life as a vendor working at a wedding!
