For someone who spends her days behind the camera, stepping in front of it for an engagement session with her love might seem a bit daunting. But then you take into account that Sanaz also took the pictures…yeah these gorgeous desert portraits right here and our minds are officially blown. From the Photographer and Bride… I decided to take on the fun project of shooting my own engagement photos after my favorite photographer was unfortunately not available to shoot them. I pitched the idea to my fiancé, David, and he was all for it! I have always loved Palm Springs and thought it would be the perfect spot to shoot with the desert backdrop and mid-century design. But Palm Springs means so much more to David and I than just pretty landscape and design! I actually fell in love with David in Palm Springs… When we started dating, I was hesitant to date anyone, but after some time David convinced me to go on a trip with him to Palm Springs. All it took was a hike in Palm Canyon for me to realized I was falling for him. This makes Palm Springs such a magical place for us and knew I couldn’t have my engagement photos anywhere else! Taking these photos got us so excited for the wedding. We’ll be getting married in July up in the Bay Area with an intimate ceremony in David’s parents’ backyard. A couple weeks after that we are planning a big party/reception in LA to continue the party with our close friends!
