From the Photographer… We shot this lovely wedding in Barbados last year. We spent three days with the couple and were made to feel like part of the celebration the whole time. It was such an enjoyable wedding to shoot, not just because of the exotic location, but also because we really clicked with Nigel and Jessica. We had a lot in common with them, from a passion for travel to a love of good food, which made us feel on the same wavelength. We felt as though we were there as wedding guests, as much as to photograph them!

We worked with their incredible wedding planner, Emma Corrie, who found us the most amazing location for the pre-wedding shoot. Crane Beach was a stunning spot, and the light was perfect, in fact, it provided some of the best light conditions that we’ve experienced!

The next day we joined them on a catamaran cruise, where we got some brilliant photos of their guests soaking up the sun on the deck, fishing and playing in the aquamarine water and finished up on a remote beach with a delicious BBQ. It was a great chance for everyone to unwind before the wedding and to see some untouched spots.

The wedding itself was perfect. The day started at Jessica’s house, where every detail was flawless, but still managed to be imbued with island simplicity. The ceremony itself took place at the beautiful Hunte’s Gardens, where Nigel and Jessica exchanged their vows surrounded by tropical plants.

Jessica’s parents hosted the reception. Her father joined her on the dancefloor for an emotional dance to Eagles’ Hotel California, which was a really special moment. The night ended in true Bajan style with a BBQ, cocktails and dancing under the stars.
