I love little touches that pack a punch and nothing tickles me more than red lips and red nails on a classic bride. Only way to make it even better? From the Bride… Jesse had surprised me with an unforgettable proposal at The Carneros Inn, so it felt very special to also host our wedding at such a beautiful property to build on more wonderful memories.
Our wedding was in May, and the grounds at The Carneros Inn had started blooming and the gardens were beautifully lush. We kept florals simple and went with a summertime citrus palette of grapefruit pinks, bright oranges, and I chose a bold bouquet of bright pink peonies that added a real pop of color as I walked down the aisle.
It started raining the morning of our wedding, and we were worried we would have to move our outdoor ceremony inside, but half an hour before the ceremony began, as if right on cue, the clouds disappeared, the sun was shining, and we could not have asked for a more beautiful backdrop to exchange the vows we had written for each other.
Jesse and I had so much fun on our wedding day with our friends and family, enjoying great food and wine, and dancing the night away. I love re-living that day through our wedding photos and remembering the overwhelming feeling of love and warmth that filled the room that day. I’m so grateful for my wonderful husband, our wonderful friends and family, and can’t wait to plan our future vow renewal someday!
