From the Bride…Planning a wedding was like a full-time job, but a job you get to complete with your future life partner. Matt and I actually met at work so it was very seamless working together to make this wedding all happen. He proposed to me during our first night in our new home, so planning this wedding while filling and decorating a house at the same time was no easy task, but we were able to utilize our strengths, like my attention to detail and his outgoing personality to confirm all of our vendors, in order to get everything to come into place.
Finding a venue was definitely the hardest part of the process but when we came across the Villa Del Sol d’oro, we knew we had found the one and looked no further. We wanted something different than the standard banquet room or garden and this venue got us exactly what we wanted- outdoor and indoor with a mix of a rustic, classic and vintage vibe. We loved the many different areas that comprised the venue from the library that became a bar at cocktail hour, the terrace we used for the dinner area, and the of course the ceremony area with its amazing backdrop. We chose very light and neutral tones to create a very natural and timeless look. We also threw in some personal details such as a popcorn station to share the love of our favorite snack and hand-made place cards for each of our guests. Our favorite and most memorable part of the wedding was definitely seeing the people we love the most enjoy the unique atmosphere while also blending together to have such a great time celebrating our special day with us.
