From the Bride… Michael and I met each other in high school but it wasn’t until college that we started dating. We both grew up in Miami but after high school I went to college in Boca Raton and Michael moved up to Boston. As fate would have it, he eventually moved back home to Miami. One weekend while I was home, we reconnected at a gathering of mutual friends. We started dating very shortly after and we dated for almost 6 years before getting married!

Once he proposed, I immediately started envisioning just how beautiful our wedding could be. After visiting the Coral Gables Country Club, we knew it was the venue for us. The gorgeous chandeliers throughout the space were perfect for the elegant, romantic evening we were both hoping for. I instantly could picture marrying my best friend in my dream wedding dress, by Hayley Paige, that I had already chosen prior to the venue search!

We chose a color palette of blush, white and gold. For the bridesmaid dresses, I knew I wanted to go with the mix and match look. Each bridesmaid wore a different blush Adrianna Papell dress with customized jewels by Kendra Scott. The ring bearer and flower girls (our adorable three nieces!) matched the bridesmaids in fluffy white and blush tulle dresses adorned with pink satin bow on the back. The groomsmen wore black tuxes with a blush vest and tie, tying in with the blush theme.

I knew right away I wanted to incorporate peonies (my favorite flower!) into our wedding. We ended up doing a mix of peonies, hydrangeas, garden roses and succulents. Our florist Richard, from the Bud Stop, was able to create a gorgeous arch for our ceremony out of curly willow. He also included some curly willow inside the centerpieces at each of the tables. The florals turned out even better than we ever imagined. For our place cards, we did potted succulents with name tags that doubled as a takeaway at the end of the night.

Dinner started off with a caprese salad, followed by a lime and tequila intermezzo. For the main entree, guests enjoyed steak and lobster with a side of three cheese risotto. Later on in the evening, we offered our guests passed late night bites and had stations available where they could grab some gelato or a coffee. Michael and I made sure to pause for a moment while we were eating dinner and just look around and take it all in together. That’s one of our favorite moments from the night. We ended the night with a sparkler exit and were off for our honeymoon in Italy days later. Looking back now, It all felt like a dream.

I had so much fun planning my own wedding over the past year (albeit, stressful at times!) but it was all so worth it in the end. It felt so rewarding seeing it all come together! It was such a fun night with close friends and family that we’ll never forget. We were lucky to have found such amazing vendors that helped make it such a special day. I hope you enjoyed these moments from our wedding day! It was truly the best day of my life and I’m so excited to have had the opportunity to share it all with you.
