From the Bride… We met in Dorchester when my best friend and him were vying for the same apartment. He ended up upstairs and she was downstairs. We were best friends for a long time and eventually my friend moved out and I moved in – the rest is history! The proposal was as simple as they come! I had a feeling it was going to happen soon, so anything out of the ordinary would have surely set me off (every time we rode our bikes to beach I had my fingers crossed!). He opted for a very casual proposal, where he caught me totally off guard on a random Friday night after work, and in the comfort of our own home. It was perfectly simple and perfectly us.
After we found the perfect venue (first place we looked at!), we spent the most time searching for a live band because we wanted our day to be as memorable and fun as possible! It was worth every penny as we hardly left the dance floor the whole night. We decided to do a first look so we could spend more time together, and also more time with our family and friends. My sister-in-law was heavily involved with the design process and did all our decorations/invitations/signage, etc. Our vision was rustic and bohemian, yet elegant and chic. We wanted a BIG party, and we got exactly that!
