Forget a custom ordered gown, who says you can’t wear on off-the-rack dress on your Big Day? No one, that’s who. Thankfully Nastja Kovacec Photography agrees which is why she snapped up this stunning elopement inspiration to share. See it all unfold in The Vault!

From Nastja Kovacec PhotographyI fell in love with Grožnjan back in 2013. This little village hasn’t really been on my radar as it is as secludes as it gets, with very little tourists wandering around. However, it is a perfect spot for a relaxed session away from the crowds, or to enjoy the view of the rolling hills. This inspirational shoot has been on my mind for two years, but only now the timing was perfectly right to organise it, and to unite all of the vendors I admire in one session. I’m so grateful for this group of people who share my vision and are always so willing to participate.

Inspired by old streets of Grožnjan, slate-blue theme, organic materials and the dreamy light, this shoot is definitely my favourite so far.

Not only Grožnjan is a perfect backdrop for photos, it is also a very intimate little place, amazing for honeymoon, it being only minutes away from the sea.

We went for a timelessly elegant outfits, with a very edgy headpiece for the bride, and subtle yet gorgeous make up.

We dreamt of a gorgeous, symmetrical bundle of florals in different shades of pink and a bit of greens. Meta from Sanjski Šopek did an amazing job combining beautiful peonies, ranunculus and roses with something as unexpected as garden and tree blooms, and some loose greens.

The wedding cake is very minimalistic. Seeing as Grožnjan is surrounded by countless olive groves Pcakes chose to decorate the cake with some olive branchlets finished with gold spray, while the blue marble fondant makes the cake even more elegant and classy.

But what make this shoot even better, were the ever so special weather conditions in Istria. The light is especially dreamy and lovely for portraits, cobbled streets and old buildings make the couple pop out nicely, while the sunset light warms the heart, and makes you want to move to Croatia and live in one of those old town apartments forever.
