One Look at This Wedding and You’ll Want a Donut Bar, Too

After seeing Dru and Seeralan’s romantic-meets-rustic big day, I’m convinced every couple needs to follow in their footsteps and have a donut bar at their wedding. Why have just wedding cake when you can have wedding cake and donuts? But that’s not the only idea you should steal. This wedding is full of pretty inspiration — from the pastel color palette to the wild florals to the Bride’s lace wedding dress. Get inspired, courtesy of The Love Studio, in The Vault! From Sara Baig DesignsThe inspiration for Dru and Seeralan’s reception design stemmed from Dru’s choice of a dusty pastel palette, her romantic, flowy lace dress and their poise and grace captured beautifully by Andreea from The Love Studio. They hosted an intimate soiree for their close family and friends at The Arcadian Loft. We loved the city vibe of the space, the exposed concrete ceilings, the oversized metal doors and the reclaimed brick accent wall. Dru and Seeralan selected a beautiful palette of serenity blue paired with hues of dusty pink and blush with antique gold accents setting the tone for a luxe rustic ambiance. The bouquets were designed with textural florals and cascading blush satin ribbons for the bridesmaids and serenity blue ribbon for the bride. We styled the groomsmen boutonnieres to match the chic blue checkered ties and their classic navy suits. The long harvest style tables welcomed the guests with green foliage garlands running the length of the tables, intertwined with mercury glass vintage vases with loose floral bouquets and a sea of candles. The mercury glass accents and driftwood details encapsulated the season bringing the outside in against the grandiose City Hall backdrop spanning the length of the room. We love it when all of the design details become a seamless vision from décor and florals to stationery and cake design. Our team collaborated with Jimmy from The Ferris Wheel Press to create soft, romantic floral inspired day of stationery printed on luxe shimmer paper. As well as The Rolling Pin, who created a rustic naked cake to feature our fresh floral arrangements. Our labour of love is styling, and we loved designing a beautiful display for a doughnut barscape. Doughnuts are one of the brides’ favourites, and we were thrilled to incorporate Dru and Seeralan’s pictures enjoying their favourite dessert. The doughnut bar details we enjoyed styling the most were the mini-doughnut paper cones made out of hand picked watercolour and gold striped paper, and the tower of doughnuts atop a luxe gold pedestal vase surrounded in rustic cascading greenery.
