From The Bride...Matt and I met in San Francisco and after a couple of years dating, Matt completely surprised me and proposed while hiking our favorite Muir Woods trail. When we first began planning, we had tunnel vision on all the small details but as the planning continued we realized we needed to determine what we wanted our wedding to feel like. We knew we wanted to create a relaxed environment focused on our love and our guests where everyone could share a few laughs and joyful tears. Once that was determined, we focused on the bigger picture and started hiring vendors that we felt could best help us create that feeling and the smaller details just fell inline. We hired amazing vendors that all had a deep love for their profession and who we felt a personal connection with. Our venue, Cornerstone Gardens, was exactly what we were looking for and was the perfect backdrop for our day, not to mention we lucked out with 80 degree weather in April. Our photographers, Erin Hearts Court, are an adorable married couple who recently moved to Napa and consistently capture amazing images of love and joy. Our caterer, Sage Catering, delighted our taste buds with an engaging family style meal focused on foods Matt and I love. Our Florist, Siren Floral Co, was given free rein to create our floral beauties and her creativity and enthusiasm exceeded our expectations. Our wedding planner and guitarist are both great friends of ours and we were so lucky to have their support. My sister, Courtney, designed the majority of our printed materials from our save the date to menu’s and my older sister, Shannon, did her magic on my hair. I could continue to give praise to everyone who helped us and put in their labor of love but overall Matt and I surrounded ourselves with people we felt would emulate our personalities and make our day a day filled with joy and beauty. Our wedding day was exactly the laid back day we dreamed of and could not have been more “us.” Like most brides and grooms, we wished the day would have never ended and in the words of my husband at the after party “getting married is so fun.”
