A Fuchsia-Infused Wedding Done So Right

Whether or not you consider yourself a “pink” kind of girl, I guarantee you’ll fall hard for this timeless “I do”. Set in Malibu with views of the Pacific Coast shoreline playing backdrop, Amber Events helped bring the bride’s soft and feminine vision to life, including floral design by the pretty-makers at Peony & Plum. Major kuddos to Christine Doneé for gallery pin-worthy images we adore through and through.

From Amber Events… When I met Madison, she was one of those big-eyed, excitable dreamers of what her perfect wedding day would be like. She sat me down and told me of all the elements that would be important to her. She would tell me in such an excited temperament, “romance, pretties, chic, timeless.” From there we set out to find ways to enhance the venue. Adamson House is a classic Malibu home built in 1930. Fast forward over 85 years, and the estate is still kept in its pristine condition. The venue has views of the Pacific Coast shoreline, which was a huge plus for Madison. She envisioned the blue skies and blue waters to be her backdrop for an intimate and romantic setting.

Her faith played a very big role in developing the design for her ceremony. We created a simple floral adorned alter that included a cross to represent her Christian faith. This ceremony backdrop played a big part in setting the tone for the rest of the design. We had calligraphy on large wooden displays as guests entered the area with her favorite verses of the Bible.

From there the colors expanded outside of the neutral palette and included pops of magenta and fuchsia. Madison loved the idea of including Bougainvillea and made it a prominent floral choice for the rest of the evening. The Bougainvillea tied together the California and Spanish-inspired theme throughout. We continued to tie in the the playful nature of her personality into the rest of the event by including unexpected pops here and there, including a naked cake, floral hair wreaths during the dance party, and a VIP scotch display in hand selected crystal decanters. That part was more for the guys, you can imagine.

The entire evening was pulled together with strategically placed twinkle lights and natural candles throughout. The bride and groom were whisked away in a limo as they ran through a tunnel of bubbles! Definitely a night to remember.
