Ireland Inspired Green Garden Wedding

The best part of this wedding?  Well… everything.  From the stunning locale to the lovely DIY details to the buttercream frosting and home brew, it’s a non-stop day of gorgeous all planned to perfection by Blush And Whim with yummy treats from Chowgirls and lush florals from Camrose Hill Flowers.  Jeff Loves Jessica captured all of the brilliant imagery and you can see more in THE VAULT.

From Jeff Loves Jessica… Katherine & Brendan brought their love for Ireland (and plans to honeymoon there!) to Minnesota when they created their wedding day. They selected Camrose Hill as their venue, for its outdoor charm and lush green landscapes. The same lush greens with soft pops of peach were woven through their floral and color scheme. We were so impressed by Katherine’s DIY talent–She cross-stitched so many sweet details of the day, including a “thank you” banner that hung from a vintage table with small jars of honey for each guest. Katherine’s dad also added a great deal of DIY spirit to the day–he spent a year before their wedding to create an array of home-brewed beer to be served during the cocktail hour and reception. They also invited an amazing bluegrass band to contribute to the atmosphere of their ceremony and cocktails. We are so thrilled for these two both for their marriage and the beautiful event they created for their family and friends!

From the Bride… Brendan and I envisioned our wedding day as a chance to share with our family and friends everything we loved about summertime in Minnesota: fresh food, great music, and forty shades of green! When initially planning, I could only picture an outdoor wedding surrounded by flowers. Camrose Hill was my vision come to life and provided a gorgeous setting that allowed us to bring in our favorite vendors on site so we could treat our guests to bluegrass music, home-brewed beer, cake from my hometown (with the best buttercream you’ll ever have) and a dinner menu that shared our food personalities as thanks for their well wishes and travels.

Even though it was one of the hottest days of the summer, I was so delighted seeing all the visions I had in my head assembled together. I remember walking around and thinking, “That’s exactly what I wanted the tables to look like!” or “This bouquet is my new favorite thing.” or “Oh my gosh, he looks more handsome than I’ve ever seen him!” To see our handmade details, like the cross-stitch table numbers and our embroidery hoop escort cards in their places, instead of in heaps of crafting chaos in my apartment made me smile from ear-to-ear. The absolute best part of the day was seeing almost everyone we loved and cherished together, celebrating and enjoying the food, drinks, cake, games, music and dancing we had planned with their enjoyment in mind.
