Nautical Navy & Pink Florida Wedding

You guys, KT Merry has done it again. She’s gone and captured a wedding we adore and if preppy stripes and pint sized sailors are your thing, then we invite you to come join the party. First stop? The Vault, where you can find every single moment beautifully designed by the talents at Posh Parties. They absolutely nailed the nautical theme without feeling overly “themed” and to that we say, thank you!

From the couple… Charlie and Lindsey were high school sweethearts in Jupiter, Florida. Through years apart in college and pursuing their goals, they found themselves drawn together repeatedly despite distance and obstacles. After finally managing to be in the same place at the same time, Charlie got down on one knee on the very same beach where they met that lucky night 10 years prior. The wedding took place at Charlie’s family home on Jupiter Island.

Charlie and Lindsey wanted a relaxed and welcoming feel with a nautical touch for the wedding including live music on the dock for cocktail hour, lawn games and dancing under a beautifully decorated tent. The bride & groom’s love of the water, and the groom’s own business building boats, made the nautical theme a natural choice. It was nodded to throughout the day with rope as napkin ties and an oversize compass decal on the dance floor, along with custom navy and white linens in the tent. The groom even built a boat, which held beverages during the cocktail reception.

From the Bride... During the planning stages, there was a specific point that really stands out. About 4 months before the wedding, the bride got a call that the church had accidentally double booked the wedding day. As a solution, Charlie and Lindsey were married at the church on Friday, the day before the originally planned wedding, in a small, intimate ceremony with only their family present. What was initially a potential disaster ended up being the bride and groom’s best decision of the wedding. Being officially “already married” allowed the bride and groom to relax and really enjoy the big event.

My favorite part of the wedding was the cocktail hour food, even though I didn’t get to eat much of it! And my favorite moment was dancing on the dance floor surrounded by all of our friends and family. It was magic, like you could feel and see the happiness glowing around us.
