Marriage Matters: Christmas Tree Farm Anniversary Session

Want to know the best part about being married? When you and your new husband start creating your own traditions. This rings especially true during the holiday season, for these new special moments with your sweetie are something special. Take Erin and Alan whose annual tradition of foraging a Christmas tree turns into much more than that with Sorella Muse behind the lens. Snapping sweet kisses and every step of romance, this is one gallery that makes our holiday oh-so-happy. See it all in THE VAULT!

From Sorella MuseWe wanted to keep things simple with this shoot, and just convey the warmth and joy of being with the person you love during the holiday season, so we ventured out to a rustic Christmas tree farm on a Sunday afternoon. Erin and Alan have been married for 4 years, yet they still look at each other like newlyweds. I’m so inspired by their steadfast love for each other. Bowerbird Atelier created a gorgeous bohemian holiday wreath and darling sign in painted gold calligraphy on wood. Imagi by Fiona did Erin’s makeup and hair towards a relaxed glamorous look that would be perfect for a holiday party. Erin and Alan love cutting down their own tree at a Christmas tree farm, and it makes for such a fun family tradition and holiday outing!

From the Bride-to-Be…We always cut our tree down the day after Thanksgiving. Our Christmas tree decorating traditions include hiding a pickle in our tree and getting an ornament each year that summarizes the year. And we always get a new Christmas ornament when we travel to a new place! We love being home for the holidays, making gingersnaps and watching Elf! This is our favorite time of year so we thought it would be perfect to have a holiday anniversary shoot. Taking photos together was such a fun way to remember our commitment to each other, and we love these images that Nicole captured so much!
