Inspiration can come from anywhere but it takes true talent to take those ideas and create something amazing. And that's just what The Poppy Group did. Month of coordinators The Poppy Group led the way - with colorful dresses for the maids from Weddington Way - at the beautiful Legion of Honor Museum for an eclectic, stylish soiree with Sarah Maren capturing it all. From The Poppy Group... The Poppy Group was started by seasoned wedding planners Amy Nichols and Kate Whelan to offer Bay Area couples an affordable month-of coordination solution. This is our first season and we are super excited to be sharing this wedding with SMP!

Marisa and Rob planned an eclectic wedding at the Legion of Honor full of unique details. We loved the ombre touches - from the bridesmaids' dresses to the cascading bouquet in tones of red and orange. Early on, Marisa had a clear vision that she wanted to incorporate Tiffany-style lamps as part of her table decor - lining the tables with lamps with red poppy motifs. That same motif would be projected on the walls of the Legion of Honor. Her wedding invitations also were California-poppy-art-deco inspired, and that same pattern was included in their welcome bags.

Another unique detail from their wedding was the multi-dimensional wedding cake by Jasmine Rae Cakes that actually MOVED!! It was a huge hit with guests.

We loved Marisa's stunning Carolina Herrera dress, and all photos of the day were captured beautifully by Sarah Maren photography.
