Elegant Fall Wedding in an Old Textile Factory

For starters, Justine and Miles are college sweethearts and you know that gives us all the feels. Add in that their Big Day was a culmination of his love of modern simplicity paired with her love of rustic charm, and you’ve got the perfect party. It’s a day complete with Pinterest-worthy Bella Figura paper goods, a literal waterfall room, and one crazy-gorg couple. With fine art photographer Kate Ignatowski behind the lens, this gallery is frame-worthy from start to finish. From Kate IgnatowskiJustine and Miles are college sweethearts and best friends. There is a comfort between them that made my job as the photographer so easy. I absolutely loved working with them throughout the entire process and was thrilled to see them so happy on their special day.

As for the inspiration behind their wedding, Justine tells it best.

From The Bride…If Miles and I each had our own way, and planned two completely separate weddings, they would have looked very different. His would have been simple with modern charm. Mine, over the top rustic with a girly touch. The beauty in planning this wedding together was striking the right balance, and at the end of the day, always coming to an agreement on all details that we both couldn’t have been happier about.

The first two pieces of the wedding we booked were our venue and photographer. Both helped to set the stage for all future decisions we would make. The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls was the first venue we visited. Having never been to Beacon before, we fell in love with the charm of the town – flourishing with local artisans and designers. Our decision was further solidified after stepping into the beautiful event space on the grounds. The Waterfall Room offered a simple palette that had enough character to stand on its own, but we knew would light up with early fall floral accents.

Next was our photography choice. Photos have played a major part in both of our lives. We love going through family portraits and even more so, collecting old photographs to keep for memory’s sake. Finding a fine art film photographer was on the top of our list, and Kate’s work stood out to us. Her photographs are beautiful, and capture more than a moment. They tell a story, which is exactly how we wanted to look back and remember our day. Not only was Kate a fantastic photographer, but she also served as a wonderful creative partner. Always willing to brainstorm ideas and when sought out, Kate’s advice was consistently sound and reliable. She completely ran the show the day of our wedding, and we wouldn’t have asked for it any other way.

Food, music and flowers were all tremendously important to us. We worked with terrific vendors all around. At the end of the evening, we couldn’t have been happier than to have seen all of the smiling faces around us celebrating the start of our new lives together.
