Captured among the olive trees of Highland Springs Resort, this styled shoot by Lucy Munoz showcases, among other things, Mother Nature at her very best. From the romance of the lavender fields to the rustic, elegant reception tablescape, it’s pure beauty. From Lucy Munoz… Elodia and Walter are engaged to be married soon. We did an engagement session and tied it into a wedding day inspiration session all in one (because who doesn’t want to practice for their big day?!). They are both so in love and excited about spending the rest of their lives together. For this shoot we know we wanted something that would capture all of that, so we took to Highland Springs Resort in Cherry Valley. To say we loved the olive lined tree path there is an understatement. It created the most ethereal and light filled backdrop. There is also these beautiful lavender fields that create the softest hues as the sun is setting. Charely Paper Company did the amazing invitations, and Yolanda Setiwan styled Elodia’s hair in soft romantic curls and gave her a very natural look. Sweet Layers Cakes and Pasteries created the wonderful cake with light mandalas in the frosting. The Blooming Bud really took into consideration the environment we were in; they were able to add part of the olive branches to the florals on the tablescape and to really give our chairs a pop they added eucalyptus and lush greenery. We first captured pictures in the Mac Dugall olive dress because it complemented the surroundings, but afterwards we wanted to dress Elodia up with the gorgeous Gemy Maalouf wedding gowns that would pop against the scenery. Boy were we glad we did! It just created the magic we were looking for. This beautiful session was put on by Lucy Munoz Photography during a Coup De Foudre mentorship.
