When the whole celebration is incredibly photogenic, from the venue to the couple themselves (the Bride is a model after all) then pics are bound to be pretty. But Jeremy Chou's photos and Twenty Seven Studios' film are that and so much more. Add in the emotional element - this beautiful Bride's dance with her father in his wheelchair - and we're filled with happy tears. 24 Carrots ensured the guests dined to perfection and these pics in our VAULT leave us wishing we were a part of it all - head this way for all the goodies!

From Jeremy Chou Photography... Kim and Nicole had a beautiful outdoor garden wedding in San Juan Capistrano in Southern California! The wedding colors consisted of summer accents; pink, coral, white, and blush. The bride, Nicole, is also a professional model which made my job much easier than normal! Her father is wheelchair bound, but yet they shared an emotional father/daughter dance that brought everybody to tears!

From the Bride... Kim and I chose to get married in Orange County because he is an OC native and we absolutely love the area. The majority of our family and friends are from Southern California as well so that made our decision very easy. We are actually the first couple in our group of friends to get married so when we first started planning we felt very overwhelmed. Candice Yen with Milk Events made our lives so much easier. She made the planning process a breeze and was so incredibly helpful and present the whole way through.

My husband and I are very adventurous, outdoorsy people so we knew we wanted to get married in an outdoor venue. Franciscan Gardens is absolutely stunning. With lush greenery covering the walls, we fell in love right when we saw it. We loved the ambiance there as well; it provided a very intimate setting. It was exactly what we were looking for and perfect for our garden romance wedding theme. Another factor that helped us decide on Franciscan Gardens was that it was right next to the San Juan Capistrano Mission. The architecture is breathtaking and we got to take some amazing bride and groom portraits there.

For our first look we knew we wanted to do something different. We loved the movie “Up” and the love story Carl and Ellie shared and balloons immediately popped into my mind. We ordered two bundles of balloons that matched our theme colors, held them in front of us as we walked towards one another and let go at the same time.

Our very dear friends from Let’s Tie the Knot helped us make our day extra special with their laser cut signage and glassware etching. They made everything from table numbers to our cake topper and even a laser cutout of our wedding hashtag! We also had flasks engraved for the groomsmen and champagne flutes for the bridesmaids and they absolutely loved them. I personally loved our chair signs that said ‘Wifey’ and ‘Hubby’ and our personalized cake server/knife set. We felt like these small details were something that really set our wedding apart.

The inspiration for our wedding favors came from our love of coffee. My husband and I are huge coffee fiends and love the art of brewing. We wanted to share our passion with our guests so we made mason jars filled with a nice Colombian roast for them to take home. Another fun DIY project we did was we made cones out of the sheet music of our first dance song and hung them from the chairs with rose petals inside. After we said our “I do’s” the guests threw the rose petals up in the air as we walked down the aisle as husband and wife.

Being in front of the camera most my life has taught me a thing or two about photography. Choosing the right photographer was crucial for our wedding. We wanted someone who we could connect with and who was passionate about what they do. Jeremy Chou went above and beyond all of our expectations and did an incredible job of capturing the most precious moments on our special day. Mon Villacorta with TwentySeven Studios was our videographer and he did not disappoint. Mon really understood the essence of our wedding and brought it to life. He told our story perfectly through his lens and it’s something we will enjoy for the rest of our lives.

One of the most memorable parts of our wedding, I think, was our surprise lip sync battle. We are huge fans of Jimmy Fallon and thought it would be super fun to incorporate the lip sync battle into our wedding. So after our grand entrance, my husband and his groomsmen performed Spice Girls, “Wannabe” and my girls and I performed Drake, “Forever.” You have to check out the video but the girls won by a landslide. It really got the crowd pumped and it was an experience we will never forget! We also have to thank Luke with Premiere Events for the energy he brought and getting everyone on their feet and out to the dance floor.

We feel very blessed to have had such an amazing team for our special day and want to say thank you again for all of their hard work and making our wedding a dream come true.
