Tuscan Inspired Saratoga Villa Wedding

When Frances of Charmed Events Group gets her hands on a wedding, there can only be one outcome: absolute perfection. She knows how to bring a simple vision to life, so when this couple shared their idea for a natural, organic, Tuscan-inspired day, Frances totally delivered. Natalie Bowen tied the day together with styled greenery galore, Haute Bride styled the bride from head to toe, and Jen Huang’s captures are waiting in The Vault.

FromCharmed Events Group… Amber and Joel first met at Santa Clara University as friends and fell into becoming lovers. They were engaged in Tuscany so for their wedding day, they wanted the guests to feel like they were transported to Tuscany. Amber and Joel have such a romantic and sweet sense of style that translated into the experience that they wanted their guests to enjoy, which was the feeling of being at a fabulously, understated dinner party. In terms of the style and aesthetic of the day, it was really important to Amber that everything had a really natural and organic feel to it with lots of rustic elements to bring guests into the magic of Tuscany. The color palette that we used was fresh greens, whites, cremes and hints of dusty blues/greys. If there were a theme that we were going with, it was Tuscany, olive branches, and more olive branches!

No details were overlooked for their wedding. To start, guests received beautiful save the dates that Jen Huang hand painted of their venue, followed by a beautiful watercolored invitation full of olive leaves and foliage that set the tone for the wedding day to come.

For the ceremony, guests were welcomed to the Oval Garden of Villa Montalvo which was a reflection of Italy with its marble statues and columns. Natalie B did an amazing job of creating a beautiful garland of natural foliage to adorn the ceremony altar that we created.

For cocktail hour, guests were welcomed to the Spanish Court where they were able to enjoy signature cocktails such as the Tuscan Lavender and Blackberry Whiskey Smashes while enjoying the beautiful Spanish Court and beautiful floral garlands that lined the stairwells to the court. Amber and Joel wanted guests to take home a little of Tuscany with them so little jars that were dip dyed in dusty lavender hues with an assortment of fresh herbs inspired by Tuscany, was their take away with beautiful escort tags created by Feast Calligraphy.

We had a vision of creating really long rows of farm tables to create the intimate dining experience of Tuscany and that’s exactly what we did. It was perfectly accented by lush garlands of olive leaves and branches created by Natalie Bowen Designs. Each guest place setting was thoughtfully created with the help of beautiful china and glassware from Frances Lane and we had an assortment of foliage to accent each guest place setting. Beautifully hand lettered menus finished with letterpress and Italian fine paper greeted guests as they sat down. Table numbers were hand painted by our team with a translation of each number in Italian. To finish, a gorgeous cake adorned with olive leaves and branches, created by Pretty Please SF, completed the reception.
