From Caroline Tran…Darci and Scott both fell in love with the gorgeous ranch estate at Leo Carrillo Ranch, with its sweeping views, wild peacocks, and a romantic ceremony tree. The blooming bougainvillea and sweeping eucalyptus trees made a perfect backdrop for the lush florals of the wedding amidst the rustic homey touches of the ranch. The ceremony was held underneath a stately willow tree in the midst of stone courtyard with a number of close family and friends with a touching communion that celebrated the legacy of Darci’s late grandparents. “We were sure to save a spot for them at the ceremony. They were married for fifty-two years so we knew they knew something about love and wanted them there every step of the way. Love is something to be cherished and we are doing our very best to follow their example,” Darci said.
Darci and Scott’s close family and friends celebrated their special day with an open garden outdoor reception. With no planned seating, the idea was for guests to mingle and dance the entire night. The charming garden atmosphere was complete with hanging lights, a spinning windmill, and a lovely dessert arrangement with various sweets and donuts.
From using the same giblets at the communion ceremony to a touching toast to the accents to Darci’s wedding attire including her grandmother’s necklace, and a fabric heart sewn into the inside of her wedding gown; the theme of family was ever present.
