From DM Events… We loved working on Kate and Sam’s wedding! They were super laid back and wanted their big day to be equal parts fun and stylish… music to our ears! They were fans of Studio 450, a blank canvas (aka a designer’s dream!), which gave us the perfect opportunity to create a custom design that felt relaxed, sensible and sophisticated.
The ceremony took place on the roof, and when New York City is your backdrop, not much else is needed! The inherent design of the venue is white on white so we warmed it up a bit with touches of wood, gold and lush greenery, along with hundreds (not kidding!) of candles adding that soft amber glow we all love!
Guests enjoyed a family-style fete by the uber talented catering team KG Fare. The Southside, the couple’s signature cocktail featuring gin, lime, mint and simple syrup, was poured generously throughout the night and was a huge hit. The couple opted for Momofuku’s infamous naked cake that was not only beautiful to look at, but also delicious! With so many delights for the refined palate, we totally loved that Kate surprised Sam at the end of the night with his favorite NYC treat: a Gray’s Papaya King food truck! It was a perfect way to end a perfect night!
