Rustic + Elegant Inn at Park Winters Wedding

It takes friends and family to throw the perfect wedding, and lucky for this couple, their loved ones were on-hand for their big day. From the signature drinks sign made by the Groom’s father to all the little details carried out by the Bride’s wedding-planner-friend Michele Guerrieri, this day was full of love. See all the pretty touches captured by Lyndsay Undseth Photography in THE VAULT!

From The Bride… Jes and I met in our Junior year of college, in Fort Collins Colorado, through mutual friends. We immediately hit it off and dated the rest of our way through school. A few years after college, I landed my dream job in San Francisco and he landed his dream job in Fort Collins. We decided to follow our careers for the time being and make the long distance relationship work. After a year of long distance we took our first trip together. Maui was the destination and it was there that he proposed, after 4 long years of dating! We decided that I would move back to Colorado but our wedding would be just a short drive away from my home-town: Davis, California.

With a year to plan, we wanted our wedding to feel intimate, full of love, and really make sure our guests felt involved. That’s where our venue came in perfectly. The beautiful Inn at Park Winters in Winters, California was stunning, private, and perfect for our outdoor wedding. We loved the main house, barn, fountains, and the 100 year old trees, so we took advantage of it. Our beautiful wedding ceremony took place right outside the main house under a chuppah that my parents built for us. Our reception was behind the house in a beautiful courtyard decorated with market lights accented with the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Our vendors were mazing and really made our wedding go smoothly. Our photographer, Lyndsay Undseth, captured every moment with such an artistic and truly romantic eye. We decided not to have a videographer and the way that Lyndsay captured our wedding left us with no regrets. Our catering, by Beth Sogaard Catering was seasonal, personal, and delicious. Our DJ, Steve with Function 45 really involved our guests. He was an amazing MC and worked with us to create a great flow to our wedding. He kept the dancing going all night! My husband and I are both pretty casual and laid back so we wanted to have our wedding feel intimate with a focus on simplicity. With the help of so many of our family and friends, that’s exactly what we got! Our wedding planner, Michele with Polished Event Design, was a highschool friend of mine. She was so great to work with and really helped us to make sure every detail was accounted for. My very artistic and talented childhood friend, Morgan McDonnell, did our makeup and art details for the place cards. I loved the beautiful and unique details she was able to add to my wedding. My husband’s dad drew our bar sign for our signature drinks. I have to say one of my favorite details from the wedding were our favors. We had small stemless wineglasses engraved with a picture of the Inn at Park Winters, also drawn by Morgan, wrapped in little boxes on everyone’s place setting. Almost a year later and our friends still tell us how much they loved and still use the glasses! Another guest-favorite was a string of photos that we put together full of photos of me and/or my husband from various life moments with each of our guests. Our wedding was filled with so much love! It was a dream come true!
