Keira Knightley was the most adorably stunning Bride when she said "I do" to her hubs James Righton at their intimate Provence wedding a couple years ago. Forgoing a traditional long dress and rocking a short number, wavy boho locks and a playful smile—that's all she needed to turn our heads. Today, we're reliving that love-filled charm through this shoot inspired by her day, and it's a doozy darlings. See it all captured seamlessly by Ashley Ludaescher over in THE VAULT.
From Ashley Ludaescher Photography... I am such a huge fan of elopements and find them incredibly romantic. Of course I love all the beautiful details that go into a traditional wedding celebration, but elopements can also be incredibly beautiful and focus solely on what a wedding is truly about: love and the promise to spend your lives together. I recently traveled to the south of France with an amazing team of creatives and the sweetest couple, Maria & Alon. Organized by Josephine from Beautiful Occasions, our elopement was inspired by Kiera Knightley’s laid back, yet oh so chic, city hall wedding style in the south of France a few years back. She wore a short dress which she already owned (Chanel, of course!!) and flats. Our bride wore an on trend cropped top and skirt from designer ambacherVIDIC, paired with fun blue platforms as her something blue. I love Maria's chic and simple low ponytail, which is a look more brides should definitely consider for their wedding day! The wedding car is a really typical car in Saint Tropez and a fun non-traditional wedding ride. We imagined them tying the knot just the two of them, and then inviting a few best friends over for a dinner party afterwards.
