As someone who grew up in the south, that part of the country will always hold a special place in my heart. So when I see a shoot like this beautiful work of art from E. M. Anderson Photography, I get nostalgic in the best possible way. With stunning florals from Milk & Honey, gorgeous stationery from CEW Calligraphy, and one ridiculously beautiful model - this gallery is southern perfection.

From E.M. Anderson Photography...Set against the backdrop of the historical Florida home of author Harriet Beecher Stowe, this shoot was inspired by the concept of a Southern tomboy all grown up. Simple styling, family heirlooms and truly southern sweets all worked together to create a relaxed and elegant mood.

The beautiful calligraphy lent an even more handmade and personal feel, and the floral design was natural and a little wild, incorporating southern icons like magnolias and peaches. All the silver and place settings were my own great grandmothers and I was so pleased to incorporate a sense of tradition by including them.

Overall, we wanted to inspire brides that their wedding design doesn't need to be glamorous or extravagant to be beautiful, but that there is inherent confidence and elegance in humble, simple things. I think the legendary Coco Chanel said it best, "Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance."
